Job #2 August 10, 2011

I had the wonderful privilege of working for my sweet Aunt and Uncle.  They were in the process of moving houses and needed a little help settling in.  They have their hands pretty full with their 4 sweet kiddos.  I had a blast and I hope this helps make them feel even more at home and be able to relax in their new organized home!

For my very first job, I had the privilage to work for my friend and coworker, Jennifer.  She has 3 precious kids and needed a little help with their playroom.  She was the perfect first customer and I enjoyed every second of it!

I have posted some of the before and afters.

Organizing!

Filed under: Organizing — courtmccollum @ 10:50 pm

Since I was young, I have always loved organizing.  When I was growing up, I had a wonderful friend named Lynley.  Lynley and I were very different in the organizational department.  She was very gifted artistically and didn’t share the same enthusiasm in organizing as I did.  This made for a perfect friendship.  When Lynley’s mom used to tell me it was time to go home, because she had to clean her room, I would beg to stay.  Of course, she would let me stay.  This was a win-win for both of us!  This continued throughout my life.  This is something that has been a passion of mine…possibly a curse.  You can ask me college roommates.  I would have to have everything in its right place before I could go to sleep at night.  I would even fluff my bath rugs every time I walked on them.  Let’s just say my roommates had a little fun with this “passion”/craziness that I had. 🙂

Needless to say, I decided that if I love something this much, why not do it for a job?  Because of my flexibility with teaching, I decided to start organizing this summer…
